2026 Migration Update
EU Talent Pool & Updated Single Permit Rules
The EU Talent Pool Regulation entered into force on 1 June 2026. The European Commission says the platform is intended to connect non-EU jobseekers with employers in participating EU Member States for shortage occupations, with full operation expected by the end of 2027. It is a recruitment platform not a work visa so country specific immigration rules still apply. The Commission also states that updated Single Permit rules became fully operational across participating EU countries in 2026.
